13C: Workforce Development Program
Build on the successful Super Service program to provide individual industry employees skill-building and credential-earning programs that add value both to their employability and the broader visitor experience.
Value to the Community
Professional development opportunities are very limited for the growing number of independent contractor jobs. Programs that are tailored to these types of workers can help maintain and improve their skills that can lead to better opportunities in the future.Value to the Hospitality Industry
With increasing contractual employment through platforms such as Uber, Lyft, AirBnB, and Shyft, it’s possible that marketable skills and credentials will be of increasing value, and such trends also mean more and more of our visitor experience will be created by individuals with little formal or company-provided training available. Our ability to sustain high levels of visitor satisfaction depends on our ability to maintain high standards of an increasingly independent workforce.Updates
