Reliable high-speed internet access is modern-day infrastructure, critical to connecting people to information and opportunity and increasingly important to navigating our destination. As mobility options become app-based, information is increasingly shared by geo-location, and as human expression increasingly occurs in the digital realm, reliable connection to the internet is necessary to fully engage with the Indy experience. Advocate for implementation of universally available high-speed wireless internet connectivity throughout Indy.

While long-known, pandemic restrictions further exposed the implications of the disparities among neighborhoods and populations as the ability to shift to remote learning and working varied dramatically. As information, services, and experiences increasingly embrace digital platforms, universal internet access ensures all residents can continue to participate in our community.Value to the Hospitality Industry
Internet connectivity has been recognized in the hospitality industry for some time, with venues, hotels, and even restaurants offering at least paid connectivity. Extending this connectivity destination-wide promotes a more seamless Indy experience and allows us to more quickly and equitably embrace services or experiences that require a digital connection.Updates
- March 2024. Indy Parks Provides More Wi-Fi. Indy Parks has installed high speed wi-fi at 19 facilities with plans for 10 more by the end of the summer. This is part of the American Rescue Plan Act in Collaboration with the Information Services Administration. Once complete, 98% of Indy Parks facilities will have public internet access.
