Conduct a study to better understand the state of the industry employment, including workforce attraction and retention as well as forecasted employment supply and demand. Use this information to address employment challenges and to better understand the role of the industry in career pathways.

More than 60,000 Indy residents are employed in jobs directly supported by visitors, including more than 32,000 in the accommodation and food services industry. - April 2022. LHT Workforce Study. Visit Indy engaged Ball State's Center for Business and Economic Research to conduct a foundational assessment of Central Indiana's Leisure, Hospitality, and Tourism workforce.
- April 2021. Workforce Survey. Visit Indy conducted a survey of former hospitality workers for the Indianapolis Tourism Recovery Task Force to understand employee perceptions of returning to the industry after COVID restrictions were lifted.
