11A: Economic Leadership

Ensure the tourism and hospitality industry is present and contributing to the boards, committees, plans, and/or initiatives of key regional economic organizations, including the IndyChamber, EmployIndy, the Central Indiana Regional Development Authority, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, and the Indiana Destination Development Corp. We must also identify opportunities to better connect and find efficiencies to support broader economic development initiatives.

Value to the Community

The tourism and hospitality industry must not work in a silo focused on its own benefits and therefore, in order to contribute to the work and strategies of the broader community, we must be working together with other organizations to advance Indy.

Value to the Hospitality Industry

The tourism and hospitality industry must not work in a silo focused on its own benefits or it risks losing relevance to broader community strategies and the opportunity to contribute value to them.
